Nelson & Nelson is a law firm established in 1975 with an office in Portland, OR. At this office location, there are 2 lawyers practicing civil litigation, family law, divorce and 16 other areas of law.
I have been a client of Mr. Nelson's for over 40 years and in that time he has provided me with excellent service at very fair prices. He has handled my business and personal issues and I have always felt that the advice, information and service he has given me has been accurate, timely and correct. I have and will continue to recommend him.
Swindler. He did not file the customary motions in my case to protect me from an abusive estranged partner or proceed with the expected and customary divorce proceedings. He'd call me to his office to "talk about my case" which was a very simple divorce, then he would talk about himself and do nothing on my case. He lied to me about my case and family court proceedings. He tried to get me to hand him over my entire savings, then I fired him. He'd already gotten 15k and not filed basic motions.
Roscoe C Nelson III is a THEIF! He was convincing about winning my case, but all along he knew I would not win. He still took my money! He also sent email messages to some unknown person. He didn't know my email correctly, even though I wrote it down. His personality changes quickly. One moment he seems to be understanding and nice. Then the next moment he is horrible and rude! His father and grandfather would be very disappointed! Shame on you Roscoe C Nelson III!! Instead of helping you make it worse!
Roscoe agreed to take on my case against a window company. He said he was going to send letters to the company and never did, he said he would file for court for me so I put money in my trust for that. then he left for vacation and I never heard from him again. Even his paralegal won’t call me back. He left me high and dry with no lawyer and dates now are too late to file for court so I’m out over $20,000. Terrible service.
This office is a joke and Mr. Roscoe Nelson is a crook. If I could travel back to the 80's when he was in his prime and understood the law, I would have been fine. He doesn't understand the current law practices. His office never answers the phone and apparently, they don't communicate through email. I would say to anyone wanting to use this firm DON'T.
Extremely incompetent. It is best to have no attorney than to hire this attorney who lacks professional ethics. I am surprised the bar hasn't disciplined him.
Mr. Nelson provided his service to my son for a divorce and ongoing family legal matters concerning the divorce he left way son high and dry with no legal counsel when he needed it. A colleague and his firm was working with Him and The colleague left one day with an emergency and never came back Mr. Nelson failed to inform us that he had no attorney until he really needed one and so I would not recommend his firm to anybody for anything. There is one thing Mr. Nelson is good at and that is talking about himself talking about everything that has nothing to do with you or your legal matters.k
