I Hired Jim Cartwright to handle my fathers small estate probate initially i asked for a total cost of services and was told $3500 esitmate from the estate, current accrued charges are around $17000 and was told I could not get be a PR because of credit issues and had no choice but to get a professional PR from there office. Michelle Johansen who is an attorney in the same office is the attorney for the professional PR has been in contact through email regarding the estate there was a 75,000 medicaid lean through DSHS I contacted michelle by email to tell her to please file a grievance letter with them before the deadline on the form that was sent to her office and copied to me to waive the interest as a hardship for my brother who was handicap and going through a hardship, the form was never mailed, michelle has refused to show billing over the course of 3 years in probate and now is asking for $17000 in fees when initally i was told $3500 is the estimate of fees and costs for a small estate probate. several attorney have also told me that I could of been the PR with a freeze on the assets that would have greatly reduced the attorney fees and eliminated the PR all together. The PR who was reffered by Jim Cartwright has also sold the house without contacting the heirs the price was a three year old esitimate and the value af the property has risen aprox 100,000 in the last 3 years, we were told we would have chance to decide yes or no if we wanted to sell the house and get a detail of price that was left by my father.
