About Mr. Ian D. Baldwin

Ian Baldwin is a partner in WSHB's Portland office, handling a variety of complex civil litigation matters, with a particular emphasis on real estate, construction, and property disputes. His areas of expertise also include professional liability, transportation, and personal injury. Ian currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Oregon Association of Defense Counsel (OADC) and has enjoyed serving in various leadership roles for the OADC over the years, including as Chair of the organization’s Construction Practice Group.

Prior to joining WSHB, Ian clerked for the Honorable Kathleen M. Dailey of the Multnomah County Circuit Court. He received his law degree from George Mason University School of Law in Washington D.C. While attending George Mason, Ian placed 1st among his class of over 150 peers in George Mason's first-year moot court competition.

Outside of his law practice, Ian places a strong emphasis on his community involvement. Before pursuing law, he completed a year of public service with AmeriCorps, where he worked as a tutor and career counselor for underprivileged youth in Seattle. In his free time, Ian serves as the assistant debate coach at Lincoln High School.
