Very good company to work with, our specific attorney was Jim Cartwright and he was excellent.

Mr. Cartwright is an exceptional attorney, and in my opinion, thee best attorney in the Northwest. He is not only brilliant, he is loyal, honest and just as important, he is forthright with his clients. Mr. Cartwright has helped me with several issues, all of which were extremely complicated and taxing ... he made me feel as though I was his only client ... and of course, we were victorious in each endeavor. I cannot sing his praises enough. He is well worth every cent billed!

Elder law case and failed to report Elder abuse which they had first hand knowledge and the abuse occurred after they took the case. Oregon lawyers are mandatory reporters with the exception of endangering a person. Sibylle Baer/Michelle Johansson had firsthand knowledge that a man committed elder abuse against my ill and mentally incapacitated mother. He attempted to swindle her and kidnapped her from the Assisted Living facility where my mom resided. Not one single attorney reported these incidents to the proper authorities and the Oregon State Bar Association did nothing! In addition to endangering my ill elderly mother and charging me 11K for their negligent law breaking actions, these criminals failed to notify me of court dates to place a lien on me - this occurred after refusing payments from me - during a global pandemic (2020). Run as fast as you can!!

I Hired Jim Cartwright to handle my fathers small estate probate initially i asked for a total cost of services and was told $3500 esitmate from the estate, current accrued charges are around $17000 and was told I could not get be a PR because of credit issues and had no choice but to get a professional PR from there office. Michelle Johansen who is an attorney in the same office is the attorney for the professional PR has been in contact through email regarding the estate there was a 75,000 medicaid lean through DSHS I contacted michelle by email to tell her to please file a grievance letter with them before the deadline on the form that was sent to her office and copied to me to waive the interest as a hardship for my brother who was handicap and going through a hardship, the form was never mailed, michelle has refused to show billing over the course of 3 years in probate and now is asking for $17000 in fees when initally i was told $3500 is the estimate of fees and costs for a small estate probate. several attorney have also told me that I could of been the PR with a freeze on the assets that would have greatly reduced the attorney fees and eliminated the PR all together. The PR who was reffered by Jim Cartwright has also sold the house without contacting the heirs the price was a three year old esitimate and the value af the property has risen aprox 100,000 in the last 3 years, we were told we would have chance to decide yes or no if we wanted to sell the house and get a detail of price that was left by my father.
