I had an unbelievable unprofessional experience with Burnham Brown. I contracted with them for a tenant issue back in May. The tenant asked for $8,000 in water damage. I had a meeting with one of their partners. He quoted me $3,500 for the case and told me that they have over 50% chance to win. I agreed on their term and put down a $3,500 deposit. And they confirmed with me that anything over it will get my authorization before moving forward. The quality of work was poor. I received a couple of letters that required my signature was copied over another case as a template without even change to my names and addresses. With poor service, they blew up the case from $8k to $22k. Then I asked for another $8k to repeal it. Right after they sent out the letter to request repeal, the billed me 6.3K (80% of their estimate) before even received a hearing date. I requested an explanation of the bill. I got an email back without any explanation but a threat of legal action and more.
