Alicia V. Beesley, an Oregon native, grew up in Hillsboro on a farm with her large, diverse family. The influence of her seven adopted Vietnamese siblings and six biological siblings shaped Alicia's understanding of family, hard work, and resilience. Her legal practice is deeply informed by these values. Alicia pursued her academic interests at BYU-Hawaii, majoring in Anthropology, and broadened her cultural perspective during an LDS mission in Mauritius and Réunion, achieving fluency in French. Upon returning, she embraced the Spanish-speaking community, studying Spanish and immersing herself in Guatemalan culture. Alicia earned her law degree from BYU Law School, and after practicing civil law for over a decade, her passion for immigration law ignited in 2022. Specializing in complex cases like Special Immigrant Juvenile and T-Visas for trafficking survivors, Alicia founded Vida Legal Services in 2025 to offer compassionate legal representation to immigrants.
