Kim E. Pittman, Esq. is a law firm established in 2005 with an office in Portland, ME. At this office location, there is 1 lawyer practicing practicing in all areas of family lawlaw, divorce, child custody and 6 other areas of law.
Kim is a bulldog if you need someone to fight for you and make your voice heard she’s you lady. I wouldn’t want to be on her bad side. I have a feeling that the other reviewers were opposing clients to Kim.
Ms Pittman first took my case in 2022. There was a decree signed in 02/23. Ms. Pittman was on a mental health break and I did not receive that decree until 05/23. All orders were to be completed in q4 days. It is now late 25 and I had to rehire her to try to finish the job and she was clearly not the same person. She is very combative, threatening, bullying, and clearly unprepared for any hearing. She does remember or care what her client says at all. She has refused to continue my case while I am on deployment and has made this such a negative impact on me during this time. She actually blames me for my ex not complying with the order and threaten me numerous times to just give in to make her day easier. The pettiness is unbearable. I do look forward to her continued harassment for this comment but if you are looking for someone to stand up for YOU, keep looking.
My experience with Kim Pittman has been nothing short of horrific. Many of her emails she's used abusive tactics to try to get my attention and to meet me down into agreeing with her. Everything she does takes 10 times longer than it needs to. She told me she would mail paperwork out priority mail that day but instead waited an additional seven days to actually mail out the papers so of course they arrived late when I was already out of the country. She also has given her client extremely poor advice that has led to this taking much longer than it needed to probably because she's getting paid. On several occasions she threatened to me with the client taking the child and or having rights if I didn't comply with her. I also paid to be served by the sheriff's department because she wanted to save her client money.
Kim Pittman was harsh and unsympathetic to the client. She showed up at court totally unprepared and unknowledgeable of the facts and ran from court room to court room simultaneously litigating at least 2 cases. In short she was a disaster.
