She is the Chairperson of the First Circuit Advisory Committee on Rules, Chairperson of the Federal Practice Section of the Maine State Bar Association, member of the U.S. Magistrate Judge Merit Selection Panel, and member of the Maine Civil Rules Advisory Committee.

    Karen and her attorney husband, Alan Wolf, have spent much of their free time over the past couple of decades in an ice rink. Karen's daughter, Chloe, was a member of the U.S. Figure Skating Team and national ice dance champion at the Novice level, who after hanging up her skates, graduated from Duke University. Her son, Nate, plays hockey for Falmouth High School, and is an Academic All American for debate and member of the three-peat State Championship Falmouth Debate Team. Karen co-coaches the Falmouth High School Debate Team, which is another full-time job that she loves.

The Martindale-Hubbell Peer Review Ratings process is the gold standard due to its objectivity and comprehensiveness.
