Monica Cacace is a South Florida native. She graduated from Florida International University with a Bachelor's in Arts degree and then went on to earn her Juris Doctorate from St. Thomas University School of Law in 2011.
Monica began her legal career in 2011 as a Plaintiff's personal injury attorney in South Florida where she was mentored by a Florida Board Certified Civil Trial Attorney specializing in personal injury law. She worked closely on many complex personal injury cases including auto accidents, trucking cases, wrongful death matters, medical malpractice, negligent security, product liability, and premise liability cases.
In 2013, Monica moved to the Florida Panhandle where she obtained several high six-figure on non-surgical personal injury cases for her clients and successfully represented an auto-accident plaintiff at trial as second chair.
In 2017, Monica relocated to Knoxville, TN for her husband's work promotion. She became licensed to practice law in Tennessee in 2018 and continued to work on personal injury matters, in addition to civil litigation. In late 2020, Monica, working a trip and fall case on her own, successfully defended against a Motion for Summary Judgment filed by a global retailer represented by an AmLaw firm. The liability in this case was not clear but she focused on investigating the matter thoroughly while keeping defense arguments in mind, interviewing and deposing several witnesses and store employees, and hiring a private investigator to visit other store locations for comparison which lead to dismantling the defendant's credibility. She also retained a sophisticated expert witness and used defense-relied upon cases against them. As a result of her zealous advocacy, she negotiated a favorable settlement for her client that was seven times the amount of the last offer.
In the summer of 2023, Monica returned home to South Florida with her husband and son and proudly joined Morgan & Morgan to continue helping people against the powerful.
