Hired Attorney

I reside outside U.S. My young child was wrongfully removed from our country by her mother to Texas, U.S. I had to invoke proceedings through the Hague Convention central authority and U.S. state department to try and have her returned. I ended up needing to file a case to enforce the Hague in federal court Texas. I hired Mr. Kappel to represent me. I consulted with many lawyers and he was the first that really seemed to understand Hague Convention. We ended up winning our case after trial in the district and then we won again appeal. Mr. Kappel clearly knew more about the Hague than anyone in the room, including the judge. Mr. Kappel was not inexpensive, but did very good job and worth it to me to have my child back home.

Hired Attorney

I hired John to represent me in an appeal of a default divorce decree that my husband took against me. Even though I wasnt quick enough and blew my appeal declines John came up with the idea to file a restricted appeal, which I had never heard of. Three other lawyers I consulted with before John never suggested it. We won and I was able to get the default vacated. I couldn't have asked for a better result and representation.
