I’ve been a police officer for 12+ years and I have dealt with a lot of lawyers in that time on top of experiencing a nasty divorce myself; I ended up firing my original divorce lawyer, because I needed fighter. Jerry came highly recommended and I hired him after I had to go back to court in post-divorce issues. Jerry deserves combat pay for what he had to deal with regarding my ex-wife and her lawyer on a constant basis and the mess that he walked into when I hired him. Being a Marine that served in The Triangle of Death during Operation Iraqi Freedom, I know what I’m talking about when I say that this was extremely stressful dealing with her; Jerry always remained a true professional and he never quit fighting. Jerry never gave up on me, most lawyers would have, and he did an amazing job constantly battling my ex-wife and her lawyer to give me more time with my kids and making sure I kept more of my money. I wish I hired Jerry in the beginning and I will only hire Jerry from now on.

My main concern when hiring an attorney was communication & of course pricing. I liked Jerry from day 1 and I initially hired him for our related adoption case because when I was researching attorneys and asking questions he emailed me back the same day and I never had to wait. He also was able to give me a set fee. He was reasonably priced and did what he said he would. I hope to never need an attorney again, but if I do, Jerry Fogelman is who I'd hire.
