Jesse Hirshman focuses his practice on patent preparation and prosecution, global patent strategy, patent counseling and opinions, and the protection of trademarks, copyrights, and trade secrets.
Over the course of his career, he has prepared and prosecuted hundreds of patents, including complex life-sciences, biomedical, and nanomaterials patents. Jesse has extensive experience preparing and managing domestic and international patent portfolios for corporate, academic, and individual clients. He counsels clients across a range of industries, including life sciences, biotechnology, pharmaceutical, immunology, diagnostic, agriculture, computational biology, chemical, materials, and mechanical technologies. His work includes the preparation and prosecution of patent applications in areas such as regenerative medicine, small molecule and biologic therapeutics, drug delivery, immunotherapeutics, polymers, and nanomaterials.
With a Master’s degree in Immunology and Medical Microbiology and experience as Adjunct Faculty teaching Biotechnology Law at the University of Pittsburgh School of Law, Jesse brings deep scientific and legal insight to his practice. His multidisciplinary background positions him to effectively advise clients developing innovative technologies in complex scientific fields.
