About Benjamin Johns

Benjamin’s practice focuses on the nexus between Elder Law, Estate Planning, and Estate Administration. Benjamin has represented hundreds of clients in estate planning and is active with several professional estate planning groups including WealthCounsel, and the Pennsylvania Bar Association’s Real Property, Probate and Trust Section. Benjamin has taught over a dozen certified legal education courses to other attorneys on trust and estate planning including courses on inherited retirement accounts, trust traps, ethics in probate, and firearms in estate administration.

Benjamin received his Juris Doctorate degree from Duquesne University School of Law in 2009, where he was honored with induction to the Order of the Barristers, an honor given to the top 8 oral advocates of each law school graduating class. Benjamin obtained his Bachelor of Arts degree from the Honors College at the University of Pittsburgh, where he studied Politics & Philosophy.

Prior to joining the firm, Benjamin served as an attorney with several local law firms, including his own for several years, at all of which he was focused on the same Elder Law, Estate Planning, and Estate Administration that he currently practices. Over the years, Benjamin has given hundreds of seminars, speeches, and educational events to the public on topics ranging from Medicaid Estate Recovery to Firearms Ownership.

Benjamin is licensed to practice in Pennsylvania and holds an inactive license in the State of Texas.

Benjamin is the lucky husband to his wife, Tara, and is the proud father to his two daughters, Madison & Evelyn. A lifelong resident of Pittsburgh, Benjamin enjoys the outdoors with year-round running, biking, and walking on the many rails-to-trails paths and spending time with his family going to local parks, museums, and cultural events.
