Jesse James Campbell is a seventh-generation Northeast Tennessean and grew up on a dairy farm in Washington County. The son of working people and the product of East Tennessee grit, he built his law practice on a simple idea - when life knocks you down, you fight back.
Jesse earned his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from East Tennessee State University and Tusculum University before attending the Appalachian School of Law, where he received his Juris Doctor with honors. While in law school, he volunteered with the Free Legal Advice Clinic at Good Samaritan Ministries in Johnson City, helping local families find relief when they had nowhere else to turn. That experience shaped his belief that the law should protect people, not push them around.
Today, Jesse represents clients across East Tennessee in personal injury, bankruptcy, criminal defense, and civil litigation matters. He’s known for his straight talk, relentless preparation, and refusal to let insurance companies, corporations, or anyone else take advantage of ordinary folks.
Before becoming an attorney, Jesse served in the U.S. Army from 2002 to 2011, deploying to Bosnia, Iraq, and the Horn of Africa. He was honorably discharged after nearly a decade of service to his country.
When he’s not in court, Jesse can usually be found spending time with his wife and children, on a golf course, or watching the Vols.
He is a member of the American Bar Association, Tennessee Bar Association, Tennessee Trial Lawyers Association, and Washington County Bar Association, where he previously served as President.
