Mr. Rick G. Tosto

Rick Tosto was assigned my case as a public defender for multiple felony charges (which I was 100% guilty of I might add) Mr. Tosto listened to my life story and what lead me to commit the crimes I was accused of and actually did a very commendable job of reducing my sentence as low as it could possibly get. I went from 24 assorted felony charges and an expected sentence of 12-15 years in prison down to pleading guilty on 3 lesser felonies and serving 5 years. His final statement to the judge before I was sentenced detailed what happened in my life and why I made the mistakes I made and he actually vouched for my character. The judge agreed with him and demanded that the state work with Mr. Tosto on a much lesser sentence! The state came back with 2 years, with all 3 charges running concurrently and counting my jail time as time served! I’ve now been out of prison for almost 20 years and have done very, very willed in life and career. I owe a lot to Mr. Tosto for believing in me.

BEWARE!!! If I could rate Rick Tosto a zero star i would .I had read Rick torso‘s review and I told my brother to get rid of him to tell the judge he needs another public defender which my brother did it and Rick sold him out in court. Rick didn't answer my brothers calls it took him the night before to call back after busibess hours which is not professional at all. My brother had to talk to the prosecutor himself and get a deal because Rick didn't prepare for the case at all . which my brother did get prison time because he was looking at 10 years but he got 5 years all Rick did was stand there in court and didn’t say anything to defend my brother. once my brother had signed the Plea deal Rick and the prosecutor were all smiling like they just made a deal . This public defender is no defender. He works against his clients , not with them. I don’t know how he’s still a public defender and how his conscience let's him sleep at night . I wouldn’t trust this guy.

Rick Touso is currently my public defender and has done no case preparation or trial preparation and has been ignoring my calls and literally working against me. He dismisses my defense evidence and provided me with. No discovery, In fact it feels as though he works for the prosecution and has sabotaged my case so badly I am afraid I’ll end up in prison for the rest of my life . I feel like this man working for the public defenders. Office is a crime in itself. My greatest hour of desperation is here and Rick Touso has only made everything worse.

Mr Rick Tosto was horrible to me and ruined my life without any guilt. I was sentenced to 35 years in total. He didn't take in any defense witnesses and I provided so much material and evidence to him, something he ended up never using during trial! The only thing he said after my sentencing was "Sorry, please file for an appeal for ineffective assistance of counsel". HE said that himself. Beware of this "attorney", someone should immidiately revoke his practicing license. I see several other people having the same experience with this guy. So unprofessional and so incompetent. He didn't care about me at all, was hard to contact and I even tried to fire him but ultimately wasn't allowed to. Now I sit here and try to appeal my charges because Mr Tosto refused to fight for me or my rights.

He is terrible. Did not help at all. When at court he confirmed to the judge things that were untrue. Made our case WORSE UPON US. Everytime we would to to contact him there was never an answer, which in most cases is horrible

This Foreign Unregistered Agent under Title 22 USC et seq ,is NOT TO BE TRUSTED, he forced himself on me and bound me under his own will pretending to be my attorney while taking part in the Gross aggravated identity theft while taking advantage of my vulnerability while other persons perpetrated fraud upon me and the court, he is politically tied to those other pubic servants on and off the bench as one of his affiliations within Maricopa criminal syndication that operates in the courts and behind closed doors ,bribery ,graft and all such other invasions ,tresspasses,barrattry,inland piracy,securities fraud ,tax evasion ,countless alienations that this PROFESSIONAL BAG man .. I could not fire rick tosto for 3 years which I never applied for him in the court and NEVER trusted him and he single handedly sabotaged my lawful standing and criminally conspired to overthrow the government in violation against the US and AZ constitutions .I am NOT a ward in admiralty or a decedent estate .

Law and motion dump : Forcing a court Forced ordered attorney that works on the courts behalf not on my behalf. Rick Tosto , is doing a song and dance : Entertaining the prosecution and the Court . The law and motion dump literally forcing a court ordered attorney on me so I will not have a voice to face my accusers and the jury with my critical material evidence in court . Judge Geoffrey Fish working with the prosecution to protect him from any liability in regards to the fraud upon the Court . They all are committing fraud throwing important critical material evidence out of court docket so that not even a jury or the public sees it. On March 16th ,2020 Judge Geoffrey Fish even admits on public record it never was a matter regarding my competency. He is being forced on me to act on behalf of the courts interests not mine . The heat is on Rick Tosto now to get me to plea bargain before trial . Judge Geoffrey Fish Guilty as well of committing fraud upon the Court .

Rick Tosto did not bring all the facts to the court room. There were months he would not call to discuss the case as promised or scheduled. For three months, Rick never made a contact with his client . Nothing was done about having Mitigation specialist for the trial. He had no expert witnesses for representation for trial. Rick did not prepare his client for trail for the 18 months as promised. Rick's client had an I.A.C. - INEFFECTIVE ASSISTANCE OF COUNSEL with Rick Tosto.

Was ineffective; worked with another attorney from the state of MI and both were useless. No evidence was presented in a defense. The prosecutors had nothing and still this boy is in prison. The defense (Rick Tosto) presented one witness and it was in the middle of the prosecution's case. One word ineffective. Mr. Tosto seemed to want to be buddies with the opposing counsel rather than represent his client. No trial preparation other than to interview his own witness the day she testified.
