About Mr. James F Kahn

James F. Kahn was educated at Wayne State University Law School, admitted to the State Bar of Arizona September 23, 1972. He is the founding shareholder of Kahn & Ahart, PLLC / Bankruptcy Legal Center™.  He is rated AV-Preeminent® by the Martindale-Hubbell National Legal Directory1 and holds a 10.0 rating with Avvo. Jim has been certified as a Bankruptcy Specialist by the Arizona Board of Legal Specialization continuously since 1988. Mr. Kahn represents both creditors and debtors in bankruptcy, with special emphasis in assisting small businesses and individuals in obtaining relief under the United States Bankruptcy Code. Mr. Kahn is a past-chairman of the State Bar of Arizona Bankruptcy Section and of the State Bar Creditors' and Debtors' Rights Committee. He previously served as chairman of the Western Region of the Commercial Law League of America and past-president of the Arizona Bankruptcy Coalition. He is also a Master in the Arizona Bankruptcy American Inns of Court. Mr. Kahn served as an Adjunct Professor of Law at Phoenix School of Law (now Arizona Summit Law School) and has been named a Southwest SuperLawyer, 2007-2009 & 2012-2023. Hired Attorney Mr. James F Kahn

I found it unsettling that he charged for an initial consultation. It was my understanding that lawyers generally do not do that.

The Martindale-Hubbell Peer Review Ratings process is the gold standard due to its objectivity and comprehensiveness. Lawyers solicited for peer reviews include both those selected by the attorney being reviewed and lawyers independently selected by Martindale-Hubbell. All reviewers are verified as attorneys through Martindale-Hubbell’s extensive attorney database. Only attorneys practicing at least three years and receiving a sufficient number of reviews from non-affiliated attorneys are eligible to receive a Rating.

What are the different Martindale-Hubbell Peer Review Ratings?*

• AV Preeminent®: The highest peer rating standard. This rating signifies that a large number of the lawyer’s peers rank him or her at the highest level of professional excellence for their legal knowledge, communication skills and ethical standards.
