Possibly THE worst experience we have had with ANY business! Our mistakes below. Pls be careful! 1) We came to Mr. Watland for a Revocable Trust, from a co-worker’s “referral” 5 years prior, WITHOUT checking more references! 2) After his first draft, it became obvious that Mr. Watland was only interested in selling us standard, boilerplate verbiage, ignoring our request/feedback to simplify the trust document! Since we had already paid partially, we let it go! 3) We promptly paid the balance after signing documents! Then discovered 2 documents were omitted. That was when Mr. Watland pulled the disappearance act, not returning phone & email messages. Finally, after our persistence, he wanted to charge more for the 2 documents that would have taken his assistant 15 min. or less to produce & notarize! We refused. Where we come from, one owns up to one’s mistakes and makes it right!
