Ashley Repka has assisted clients in all stages of litigation, including by advising clients about the viability of claims and defenses; strategizing and negotiating settlement where appropriate; drafting complaints, answers, and dispositive motions; crafting and responding to written discovery; managing electronic discovery and discovery disputes; taking and defending depositions; mediating claims; and trying cases. Ms. Repka has represented clients in matters involving claims for breach of contract, breach of fiduciary duty, fraud and violation of the Arizona Consumer Fraud Act, unjust enrichment, unfair competition, and negligent misrepresentation. Since beginning law school in 2015, Ms. Repka has held positions in state and federal courts, public agencies, non-profits, and multiple national law firms, and she leverages this breadth of experience when advising clients.
Ms. Repka has also assisted clients in the areas of government and internal investigations, white collar defense, and elections, including by responding to subpoenas issued by state and federal governmental entities; analyzing viable defenses to and compiling factual evidence to refute criminal charges; and advising clients on election-related regulations and processes.
Ms. Repka takes pride in her ability to investigate and distill the facts of each case, analyze complex and often novel legal questions, and craft litigation strategy accordingly. She enjoys the varied nature of her commercial litigation practice, which presents the opportunity to dive deeply into the inner workings of each client’s business and related industry while applying her knowledge of procedural rules and legal authority. Ms. Repka recognizes that a successful approach to litigation requires not only sound legal reasoning, but also an understanding of each party’s values, priorities, and practicalities.
Ms. Repka maintains a consistent pro bono practice that has allowed her the opportunity to second-chair two federal jury trials, in which she briefed and argued evidentiary disputes, delivered a closing statement, and cross-examined a former prison director and multiple health-care providers and correctional officers.
