About Ricky L. Liss

Ricky L. Liss received a Bachelors of Arts Degree from Temple University in 1978, and subsequently earned his law degree from Villanova University in 1981. That same year, he was admitted to practice by the Pennsylvania Supreme Court and United States District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania. He has been a longstanding member of the American Bar Association and the Pennsylvania Bar Association, as well as the American Trial Lawyers Association, the Pennsylvania Trial Lawyers Association, and the Philadelphia Trial Lawyers Association. He also served on the Philadelphia Bar Association Arbitration Committee. He is regularly consulted by other lawyers for his advice, expertise, and representation on behalf of their clients who have suffered injuries.

Ricky is a member of the Multi-Million Dollar Advocates Forum which is recognized as one of the most prestigious groups of trial lawyers in the United States. Membership is limited to attorneys who have won multi-million-dollar verdicts, awards and settlements. The organization was founded in 1993 and fewer than 1% of U.S. lawyers are members. Ricky has also received the Avvo Clients’ Choice Award with a “Superb” rating – its highest rating for attorneys.

Ricky is the former President of the Abington Chapter of B’nai Brith as well as the honored recipient of the Poor Richard’s Award for his charitable service to the community. Ricky has volunteered for Habitat for Humanity and rebuilt homes in St. Charles Parish, Louisiana for victims of Hurricane Katrina. He is also a member of Room to Grow, an organization that renovates group homes for those in need, such as individuals with disabilities or suffering from homelessness. He and his family are also avid supporters of the Alzheimer’s Foundation and the annual Philadelphia Walk to End Alzheimer’s. Ricky is also active with the Casey Feldman Foundation, which was established to promote traffic safety awareness and prevent distracted driving.

Through the years, Ricky has also donated thousands of turkeys at Thanksgiving to families in need in North Philadelphia. He and his family also volunteer their time and financial assistance to the Broad Street Ministry. The Ministry serves healthy meals and provides support services to Philadelphians who are homeless and/or at risk with shelter and food insecurities.
