A co-founding partner of Golkow Hessel, LLC, Jim Golkow has more than 40 years of experience as a trial lawyer. He has tried cases in state and federal courts, including Pennsylvania, New Jersey, New York, Delaware, Virginia, Vermont and Puerto Rico. Jim concentrates his practice representing victims of accidents in personal injury matters, particularly cases involving defective products.
Jim has been named a Pennsylvania "Super Lawyer" for 17 consecutive years. He is a member of the Million Dollar Advocates Forum, 7 Figure Litigator and 8 Figure Litigator, organizations reserved for trial lawyers who have obtained seven-figure and eight-figure verdicts or settlements on behalf of their clients. Born and raised in Philadelphia, Mr. Golkow is a 1983 cum laude graduate from Temple University. He earned his law degree, cum laude, at Delaware Law School of Widener University in 1986, where he was an editor of the Delaware Journal of Corporate Law, a member of the Moot Court Honor Society and Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society and a recipient of the American Jurisprudence Award for achieving the highest grade in Torts.
Mr. Golkow is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and before the U.S. District Courts for the Eastern and Middle Districts of Pennsylvania, the District of New Jersey, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit. He has also handled matters in jurisdictions throughout the country with pro hac vice admissions.
