Mr. Stanshine was extremely knowledgeable and walked me through the entire process of my case. He was readily available any time of day I called to discuss my case. I would hands down recommend Mr. Stanshine.
Worst attorney ever!!! Should not hire him. Confused, ineffective, cancels / continues court dates over and over again. Loses documents forgets to file motions. Poor litigator and awkward courtroom disposition. Disorganized generally, and ineffective / unskilled with regard to both advocacy and ethical standards. Dishonest and conniving, in essence he's an attorney who takes the money and runs. And NO! He never offered to refund my retainer.....I'd recommend calling the bar to other clients this happened to.
To be fair I think Gerry, if he wanted to, could apply more effort and obtain better results. But once it became apparent theres no trial prep done its difficult to say much more. Pro tips: -Get written agreement– fees double, but less work done. -Be careful of the –plea bargain trap- I can’t speak to his trial ability because I haven’t seen him actually in a jury trial - Due diligence in hiring: literally other attorneys asked me if this was his first case due how so much was mishandled / not not done at all. -Even w. written agreement don’t expect much. There were important tasks not done he claimed would be in the case. But that’s just my view, maybe others have had a better experience: I really wouldn’t know bc I am not really seeing too many cases handled. Anyway hope this helps, hindsight don’t always assume paying a premium gets you better representation.
