Gerald was recommended by a friend. I paid him to represent me. He went to my first hearing with me. He said i was not needed at 2nd hearing and he would be in contact with me after that. A few weeks later I received a warrant in the mail for my arrest. I called Gerald and he wanted more money to continue with my case. I had to go down to the courthouse myself to get rid of the warrant and get a new court date. I paid him alot of MONEY and got nothing accomplished. Very disappointed in the way he handled the whole situation.

I lost FOUR YEARS in a prison because of Gerald Stein's dereliction and negligence. He had the very real opportunity to get my farcical case thrown out by arguing post verdict/sentence motions, but despite his promises and assurances, he NEVER BOTHERED TO APPEAR in court. No apology, warning or excuse. This man was hired specifically to file a PCRA on a case where my young trial attorney was astonishingly incompetent. But, Gerald instead ignored my every instruction and went rogue by filing a direct appeal, wasting 4 years of my life. His DELIBERATELY-DEFECTIVE appeal was QUASHED by the Superior Court a year later due to Stein's inexplicable, malevolent behavior in not only filing the appeal PREMATURELY, but as it turns out, his appeal was NEVER DESIGNED TO OVERTURN MY CASE in the first place, even if it had been successful. After his failures, he refused to discuss my case/options. He refused to withdraw until well AFTER my 30 day (pro se) appeal deadline had passed. AWFUL ATTORNEY!
