Hired Law Firm

I needed an attorney to file a personal bankruptcy case and I thoroughly researched lawyers practicing bankruptcy law in Philadelphia. Time and again, Cibik and Cataldo's names kept coming up. The firm publishes articles in the field and receives a lot of praise from both clients and peers. I hired Mr. Cibik to represent me. He is straight talking, experienced, and knowledgeable. Working with him made a difficult experience go smoothly. He is a total professional and I would recommend him.

Hired Attorney Michael Cibik

My initial consultation with Mike Sibic was constructive and helpful. He took the time to understand my situation and provided clear guidance, which gave me confidence to move forward. However, my experience after signing the agreement was very disappointing. I was asked to pay a $2,000 retainer upfront, but the actual services provided were extremely limited: filing a request for continuance and a brief phone call (around five minutes) to inform his team that I would not proceed with the case. Given the minimal work performed, I requested a partial refund of the unused portion of the retainer, which I believe is a reasonable and standard expectation. Unfortunately, since making that request, I have received no response despite multiple emails and phone calls. The lack of communication and transparency after payment is concerning. While the initial interaction was positive, the follow-through and client service have been very disappointing. I would have expected a more professional

The Martindale-Hubbell Peer Review Ratings process is the gold standard due to its objectivity and comprehensiveness. All reviewers are verified as attorneys through Martindale-Hubbell’s extensive attorney database. Only attorneys practicing at least three years and receiving a sufficient number of reviews from non-affiliated attorneys are eligible to receive a Rating.

What are the different Martindale-Hubbell Peer Review Ratings?*
