  Representative Matters: Commercial Litigation: Successfully represented a broker-dealer firm in a 19-day FINRA arbitration against a former executive who claimed that he was entitled to a multi-million dollar severance package. At the conclusion of the hearing, the panel refused to award any money to the former executive.
  Successfully represented multiple institutional lenders in foreclosures
  other actions arising from defaulted notes.
  Successfully represented an American supermarket chain seeking to confirm a $15 million breach of contract
  fraud award from an international arbitration.
  Successfully obtained a preliminary injunction on behalf of a real estate company to freeze the assets of the company's former bookkeeper, who was discovered to have embezzled over $4 million from the company. Successfully located
  recovered a substantial portion of the embezzled funds through subsequent litigation.
  Successfully represented a commercial real estate owner in a jury trial in an action to evict a tenant operating an after-hours club.
  Healthcare Litigation: Successfully represented a medical device company in a shareholder derivative suit filed in Delaware Chancery Court. The matter went to trial
  concluded with a verdict in favor of our client.
  Successfully defended a medical records company in multiple putative class action lawsuits concerning the process by which it provides medical records to requesters
  the prices that it charges for such records.
  Provide ongoing advice to a medical records company in connection with HIPAA compliance as well as compliance with state specific regulations governing the prices that the company is permitted to charge for copies of medical records.
  Represented multiple medical professionals in connection with purchases
  sales of medical practices.
  Counseled an executive from a Fortune 100 medical device company in an investigation arising from a qui tam action brought against the company. Represented the executive in all aspects of the investigation, including several interviews with the United States Attorney. Ultimately, the client was not subjected to any criminal or civil liability.
  Waste Management Litigation: Successfully obtained a preliminary injunction ordering a container terminal to honor its agreement to allow our waste-management company client the right of first refusal before offering barge space at the terminal to another party.
  Currently representing a waste-management company in an international arbitration concerning the construction of a waste-to-energy power plant in Canada.
  Successfully represented a scrap metal company in an action against a former employee for allegedly violating a non-compete agreement.
  Education Litigation: Successfully represented local school district in a class action filed against it concerning the school district's procedures with respect to the placement of students with disabilities. Ultimately, this matter concluded with a favorable settlement for the school district.
