About Adam Masef

Adam B. Masef is a Senior Associate in the Philadelphia office, focusing on first-party coverage cases. Adam has handled lawsuits involving residential and commercial claims, including claims for water, fire, and windstorm losses, stucco claims, claims for damage to business personal property, and equipment breakdown claims. Adam has also advised coverage on large commercial property losses and Commercial General Liability matters. Adam’s experience also includes handling subrogation matters involving property losses from damaged utility lines. He has also presented on the topic of ensuing loss provisions under property policies.

Prior to joining Butler, Adam was an Assistant Chief/Deputy Attorney General in the Community Affairs, State, and Elections Section and a Deputy Attorney General in the Banking and Insurance Section at the New Jersey Attorney General’s Office, Division of Law. His experience includes litigating complex insurance fraud and regulatory enforcement matters on behalf of the New Jersey Department of Banking and Insurance.

Adam was a panelist at the 2017 New Jersey Special Investigators Association Annual Fraud Awareness Seminar and the 2016 New Jersey Special Investigators Association Annual Insurance Fraud Summit, where he presented about the civil litigation process and civil insurance fraud prosecutions.

Adam received his Bachelor of Science, magna cum laude, from the State University of New York at Binghamton, and Doctor of Jurisprudence, cum laude, from Drexel University, where he was a lead editor on Law Review.
