Do I have a case against a dentist who extracted a tooth but the numbness didn’t go away until now?

James Peirce Kelaher
Answered by attorney James Peirce Kelaher (Unclaimed Profile)
Personal Injury lawyer at Kelaher Law Offices, P.A.
That's not an unusual complication from the procedure but unless you can get another dentist to say it's a deviation from the standard of care, you won't be able to prosecute the case.

Is it legal for a driver to prohibit the insurance company from contacting someone?

An insurance company doesn't have the power/ability to prohibit anyone from speaking to anyone. Your bf is free to speak to anyone, however, I wouldn't if I were him. He should simply do whatever his insurance company says, nothing more. That being said, since your bf rear-ended someone, they may be settling as your bf was negligent. The fact that the person hit may have been drinking is irrelevant, since your bf had a duty to watch the road and not follow too closely. Good luck.

Should my boss be the one paying my medical bills?

You are entitled to Worker's Compenation. As for your "boss" if he/she operates under a d/b/a, then that's who should be carrying the Worker's Comp insurance. Otherwise, it's the corporation that owns the business that should be carrying the policy. Some employers try to get around this by having their employees sign on as "independant contractors" but that can often be overturned in court.
