Can I sue a hospital for unprofessionalism?

Answered by attorney Andrew Tyler Velonis (Unclaimed Profile)
Personal Injury lawyer at Andrew T. Velonis, P.C.
You'd have to show that there was a contract requiring them to call you to schedule the blood work and that because they breached the contract, you lost money. I doubt it would be worth pursuing. Re-schedule the surgery, get it done, then file a complaint with the NYS Dept of Health. You won't get anything out of it, but you may feel some satisfaction about showing them who's right.

Who is responsible for my medical bills if I fell in a parking lot of a business?

Michael G Heilmann
Answered by attorney Michael G Heilmann (Unclaimed Profile)
Personal Injury lawyer at Downriver Injury & Auto Law
A business in Michigan is responsible for a reasonable safe premises. A railroad tie may be considered "open and obvious" and thus not a defect in the premises. We need to look at the specifics of your situation before a blanket statement can be made. A business that does not provide a reasonably safe premises is responsible for all the damages that flow from the violation of that rule.

Do I have a lawsuit for defamation of character?

Answered by attorney Ajay Mohan Kwatra (Unclaimed Profile)
Personal Injury lawyer at The Law Offices of Ajay Kwatra
I am not sure you have a case for defamation, as your character will probably not be judged by anyone based upon a traffic fine. You need to handle this with the agency that assessed the fine, an ask them how to clear your record. As far as suing the seller, it sounds like you did not sign the car over to them. Although they should have caught it, they could defend themselves by saying that you should have caught it. I think its best to cut your losses, not start a costly law suit to clear your reputation. Good luck!
