What can I do as a result of getting false insurance information from an auto accident?

Mark Joseph Leonardo
Answered by attorney Mark Joseph Leonardo (Unclaimed Profile)
Personal Injury lawyer at Dordick Law Corporation
I doubt she can get in trouble for her false representation since you have no damages as a result. Contact her insurance company directly and make a claim if she or her father has not and they will take it from there.

I'm sorry for your health issues, but to answer your question, No, you can't sue him. He owed you no duty to provide health insurance and therefore can't breach a non-duty.

Can I sue a person for filing a fraudulent police report against me in retaliation of trying to contact them?

Answered by attorney Brett Edward Rosenthal (Unclaimed Profile)
Personal Injury lawyer at Graves Law Offices
You can do two things; one, pursue criminal charges for filing a make a false report to police, second, file civil suit for intentional infliction of emotional distress and fraud for the resulting damage, both physical, emotional and property damage, if any, for making a false report to the police. Not sure how motivated the district attorney's office will be to pursue the criminal charge, but should make a formal police report regarding the falsity of your former "friends" report to the authorities.
