What do I do if I received a subpoena but I can't go?

James Peirce Kelaher
Answered by attorney James Peirce Kelaher (Unclaimed Profile)
Personal Injury lawyer at Kelaher Law Offices, P.A.
You need to call the attorney who represents the party who issued the subpoena, and discuss alternatives. If it is for a deposition, it can probably be rescheduled, but if it is for a trial, you can be forced to attend and testify.

Will I be charged with hit and run?

Answered by attorney Nathan Kased
Personal Injury lawyer at Kased Law Group
It is very, very unlikely given the circumstances you have described. Even if you attempted to contact the local police department, I doubt it would be interested in taking a report (in light of the very minimal, if any, property damage).

How can I get a worker’s compensation if my boss doesn’t want to?

Answered by attorney Maurice Lee Abarr (Unclaimed Profile)
Personal Injury lawyer at Law Offices of Maurice L. Abarr
The required approach is that you obtain a claim form, complete it, personally hand it to your boss or the HR / personnel director, and ask to be sent to a doctor. To cover yourself, you should go to a doctor or urgent care facility immediately to create a medical record of the injury.
