Do I have to settle a case if my attorney says so?

Answered by attorney J. Todd Tenge
Personal Injury lawyer at Tenge Law Firm, LLC
The decision of whether/when/how much to settle an injury case is ultimately the client's decision. However, with a good attorney-client relationship, there is trust and respect. Thus, usually the client will follow the advice of their lawyer (after all, that is what they are paying for sound advice). So no, you don't need to do what your lawyer tells you, but usually, it is a good idea. You likely need a second opinion.

Is there a lawsuit for a hospital that ignored a patient?

Talk with a local medical malpractice attorney. I would let it go, but I don't do medical malpractice and there may be a case there. Probably not for a lot of money, but something.

Can I collect for the days I missed work? How?

Richard B. Jacobson
Answered by attorney Richard B. Jacobson (Unclaimed Profile)
Personal Injury lawyer at Richard B. Jacobson Associates, LLC
You can sue for lost wages. Often there are several other bases for damages which a personal injury lawyer knows, but which are not generally known to lay persons. Consult an injury lawyer: it's almost always worth the investment. Good Luck.
