Do I need a Texas attorney to represent me regarding an injury in my room while I was staying in a hotel in Texas. I live in Oklahoma.

Yes a Texas licensed attorney would need to be hired for this case. It is not an easy case, however, as the jury will be told to apportion fault on you, and you will likely need an expert to testify as to the unsafe design of the bathroom. Act swiftly, before they change the room and destroy your evidence.

Am I liable for the personal injury?

If the new owner fell due to their own inexperience or inability to handle the horse they are liable for their own injuries. Only if the horse caused the accident due to some defect which you hid would you be liable. Unless there are more facts, I would not be concerned about your liability.
