Who and where can I report a lawyer who I think mishandled my automobile case?

You can try and work out your differences with your lawyer; you can file a Grievance against your lawyer with the State Bar of Michigan; you can retain another lawyer to review the 1st lawyers file to give you an opinion on whether there was any breach of the standard of practice and/or of the Michigan Rules of Professional Conduct; or you can sue the lawyer for legal malpractice. In my view it is usually best to go with the 1st option, and only move on to others if your original lawyer will not cooperate in making sure you understand how your case was handled and why the result was reasonable.

How can I find a lawyer for injury that happened on cruise ship.

Answered by attorney Aaron P. Marks
Personal Injury lawyer at Marks Law Group LLC
I'm sorry to hear that your husband was injured while on a cruise. I understand he sustained a head injury and I'm sure he is in a great deal of pain. Whenever you are injured as a result of another person's negligence (carelessness), you potentially have claims for (1) medical bills, (2) lost wages from missed work, (3) pain and suffering, (4) any permanent injury or disfigurement, and (5) inconvenience and loss of enjoyment of life. Of course, whenever you have been injured, the most important consideration is getting whatever medical attention you need. Make sure your husband follows up with his health care providers as necessary, both to ensure that he heals properly and also because people (claims adjusters, attorneys, and even jurors) are often suspicious of those who claim to be injured but fail to follow their treatment plan.  You should know that the cruise ship's insurance company is interested in settling for the least amount of money possible and that they have hired attorneys to represent their interests. Your husband should consult with a personal injury attorney who has experience handling cruise ship cases and who can represent his interests. Without an experienced attorney, your husband is putting himself at a disadvantage in any negotiations. An initial consultation with a personal injury attorney is free, and retaining a good attorney is the best way to ensure that your husband gets fairly and fully compensated for his injuries. In the meantime, please do not talk to anyone from the insurance company without an attorney present. Claims adjusters are trained to minimize the damages an injured person can recover and may try to get your husband to admit fault in the accident. I hope your husband feels better soon and I wish you both the best of luck in resolving this matter.
