I am suing a hotel for negligence (injury)but I just found out they are trying to sell the hotel asap..how will this effect my case?

Answered by attorney Mitchell Lloyd Feldman
Personal Injury lawyer at Feldman Legal Group
The hotel should have insurance, and that does not really matter who purchases the building or who operates the hotel.  Since you say you are suing, I would hope that you would consult with your own lawyer on this, unless you are doing this pro-se..on your own.  Since there's a serious injury, if you do not or have not sought a review with an attorney, you should.  If you have a lawyer, follow up with him or her on this question.

How long do I have to pursue an auto accident and personal injury case?

Answered by attorney Josh Lamborn (Unclaimed Profile)
Personal Injury lawyer at The Law Office of Josh Lamborn, P.C.
In Oregon the statute of limitations for personal injury generally is 2 years from the date of the accident. If you had an attorney working on the case prior to the statute running out and she failed to file a lawsuit or settle your case prior to the limit, then you have a cause of action against the attorney for legal malpractice. You should contact an attorney that specializes in that field and they can pursue that case for you.

I broke my tooth yesterday with pit inside libbys fruit cocktail can i sue them.

Answered by attorney Mark Tischhauser
Personal Injury lawyer at Tischhauser Law Group
Not generally no. This is a clear assumption of risk issue combined with low damages. Unless YOU wantedto spend the thousands of dollars necessary to file such a lawsuit, to make a point or out of principle, this is likely a customer service issue at best.
