Do I have a chance of getting disability if I have bi-polar disorder?

Christopher D. Morris
Answered by attorney Christopher D. Morris (Unclaimed Profile)
Personal Injury lawyer at Lewis, Reed & Allen, P.C.
Medically yes. Many people suffering from a psychiatric disorder are denied benefits and you should seek legal assistance if you are denied. The other concern would be if you are medically compliant with the advice of your physician. Are you taking the meds that are prescribed in the proper dosages? If the answer this question is yes and you are still unable to work, you may well qualify under the Social Security regulations.
