I fell during a cruise

Answered by attorney Stephen Arnold Black
Personal Injury lawyer at The Law Office of Stephen A. Black
Most cruise lines have forum selection clauses, requiring passengers to file injury claims in the state designated by the cruise line. In almost all cases, that state is Florida. To determine where you must file your claim, review your ticket itinerary and contract to see if Florida has been specified. If Florida is the required forum, you will need to retain legal representation in this state. Be aware that these claims must be filed within a specific time frame, or you may lose the right to pursue compensation. It is advisable to hire an attorney here in Florida on a contingency fee basis, meaning you pay nothing unless you win your case.

Will I have to go to jail for a reckless driving I have not got a ticket in 15 years?

Paul L. Whitfield
Answered by attorney Paul L. Whitfield (Unclaimed Profile)
Personal Injury lawyer at Paul Whitfield and Associates P.A.
You got a speeding ticket and one for reckless driving? Get you a good traffic court lawyer and he will bargain with the DA and perhaps get one of those dropped or the spewed reduced. It ids most unlikely that you would go to jail. All our jails and prisons are full of serious criminals, felons, breakin artists etc. get you a good lawyer and let him work something out for you. with your record you are not a candidate for jail. Your biggest problem will be your insurance premiums. They will go sky high most likely.

How much do you settle for an injury that happen at work?

Answered by attorney David W. Hibbert (Unclaimed Profile)
Personal Injury lawyer at Law Offices of David W. Hibbert
Sounds like they don't want you getting any help in dealing with their low ball offers. Your doctor should give you a permanent impairment rating percentage, and the possibility of future surgery is also out there. Don't settle without talking to a local workers compensation attorney. Your settlement may be the last chance you have to provide for your family. An employer mat require your resignation before tendering a settlement. Then what shall you do?
