If my daughter was attacked in a parking lot after a concert and no security officers and injuries involved, do we have a case?

Doubtful. You would have to show that security was inadequate and that the attack would not have occurred otherwise.

Can I file for damages as back and leg always hurt and arm is very painful?

Sounds like a worker comp case. you should have filed it when it happened. Contact the NC Industrial Commission and file a form 18 whether you are really hurt and how bad is all a doctor call so you might want to talk to him since any claim will be based on what he says, not what you say.

How can I sue my previous employer for slander and defamation of character?

Slander is verbal defamation and it's almost dead in Michigan since the Ireland v Ireland case a few years ago anyway. I would say -forget that angle completely, get your personnel file and clean it up (which you can get/ Bullard-Plawecki Employee Right to know Act , get it removed or dispute it-read this act on line on how to do it), check the Employer's policy on referrals (ie most are just neutral verifications and if not, try to negotiate it or get an attorney to do it),see if you can collect UIA and get a new job or better yet-go back to work and work with them. Maybe they can do something for you (clean up your file and/or some restitution& I'm assuming that you are not a Union Employee-or they should be doing this for you). It's a lot easier than trying to get a new job. Good Luck to you.
