Can I still sue my employer for an old injury?

Answered by attorney Andrew Tyler Velonis (Unclaimed Profile)

You could not sue before and you can't now. You cannot sue your employer because your only remedy is Worker's Comp. You must file a comp claim within 2 years of the injury.

What should I do after a car accident?

default-avatar
Answered by attorney Curtis Lee Chronister (Unclaimed Profile)
Personal Injury lawyer at Chronister Law Firm, LLC
After an auto accident you should always take these actions: get checked out by a healthcare provider (always); report the accident to your insurance company, but do not give them any information concerning your health at this time (your own insurance company may become a defendant in a potential lawsuit against the at-fault driver); after you have been seen by a doctor (which should occur within 24 hours of your accident) contact a personal injury attorney in order to evaluate your case (personal injury attorneys will not charge you to evaluate your claim).

Can you be sued if there is no trespassing sign on your property?

default-avatar
Answered by attorney Willie Stephen Graves (Unclaimed Profile)
Personal Injury lawyer at Graves Law Firm
You can always be sued, but generally the only duty you owe to a trespasser is to not intentionally harm him or her. Unless you knew of a dangerous condition and knew the trespasser was there but did nothing to warn him or her, you probably aren't liable. However, if the trespasser is a child and you had something on your land that would draw kids like him or her (a junk car, a pool, etc.), you can be liable under "attractive nuisance" theory.
