If there are other funds to be disbursed from the settlement proceeds it can take a month or so. I would contact your attorney for an appointment to discuss the finalization of the case. Once the release and settlement draft are signed normally disbursement takes a week to 10 days. When you meet with your Attorney, keep in mind there is no need you take your money in partial payments, etc. That is a sign there could be a problem. If so, you need to contact the State Bar of Michigan immediately.
