Am I legally liable for my friend's car if she was driving?

Answered by attorney Kenneth G. Wincorn
Personal Injury lawyer at Law Offices of Kenneth G. Wincorn & Associates, P.C.
You are not legally responsible if you did not control the car. You may want to take care from a moral perspective but you cannot be made to pay.

Can I reschedule an order to show cause?

Barry Mark Regar
Answered by attorney Barry Mark Regar (Unclaimed Profile)

You may be able to do it by Stipulation and Order of the court. If that is not an option, you can try to do it by an Ex Parte Motion. If you are in Pro Per you will need to inquire as to your court's policy re this matter. If you have an attorney, the attorney should know what to do.

Answered by attorney Jacob Schwab Ginsberg (Unclaimed Profile)
Personal Injury lawyer at Ginsberg & Associates
The District Attorneys office would have to agree to file criminal charges. Depending on the County, most District Attorneys office will not file a criminal complaint unless the police were called to the scene of the incident or the victim complains loudly enough and demands that a criminal charge be filed.
