You can bring an action for negligence against the other driver. However, you will be responsible for defending yourself if the other driver contests liability.

I was in a motorcycle accident in texas I was awarded settlement for 30k, health insurance paid 150k for injuries, will I get a settlement?

Answered by attorney Patrick Short
Personal Injury lawyer at Law Firm of Patrick Short
It appears you are asking about a subrogation right with your own health insurance company.  You need to look at the contract between your health insurance and you in order to determine if they will reduce their lien so that you are able to put money in your pocket.   I would encourage you to discuss this with a lawyer in your area who does personal injury plaintiffs work, so you don't compromise your claim.   Before you sign anything...contact a lawyer...  Good luck...

Am I entitled to any compensation if I fall and slip in a store because of a wet floor?

Answered by attorney Jon F. Schmoll
Personal Injury lawyer at Langer & Langer Attorneys at Law
Indiana law requires a store owner to keep the store in a reasonably safe condition for shoppers. If the wet floor was caused by mopping, the store owner should warn customers. If another customer spilled something, the store owner has to have some kind of notice of the spill or failed to reasonably inspect the store to check for spills. Under such circumstances, the store is responsible for your wife's injuries.
