What are my options if I got broken finger at work and it healed misaligned, company doctor says no to surgery?

Thomas C. Bulman
Answered by attorney Thomas C. Bulman (Unclaimed Profile)
Personal Injury lawyer at Bulman Law Associates PLLC
Too bad. If you were a brain surgeon, and broke your finger while working, it could be career ending and worth maximum partial disability of about $50,000, hardly full compensation for lifetime losses of income for a surgeon. If you are a laborer, worth a couple hundred bucks. If your time of injury job was guitar player, then it would be closer to the brain surgeon. No pain or suffering compensation is allowed by Montana law. Same in virtually all states.

If I slipped and fell on some water in a fast food store, are they liable for anything?

Answered by attorney Dustin Douglass Deissner
Personal Injury lawyer at Deissner Law Office, P.C.
Slip and fall liability is premised on proving that the owner was aware of the hazard. You would have to show the water was there a long time, or was brought to their attention before you fell. hard to do. Given the small damages it is unlikely a lawyer would take the case

You need to establish, as to the physician and/or facility and/or conservator, a breach of a duty of care proximately causing damages. This can't be determined here from your paucity of info.
