How do I fire my current attorney to minimize my costs to him/her and go with another that I feel comfortable with on my worker’s compensation case?

You should at least receive return calls from staff at the attorney's office. W Comp law offices are higher volume so many of the calls need to be returned by staff not the lawyer but there is no good reason that no one is returning your calls. I am familiar with this problem because I have been doing Workers' Comp for 38 years.

If I slipped and fell at a hotel and broke my ankle and tore a ligament what are they liable for?

James Peirce Kelaher
Answered by attorney James Peirce Kelaher (Unclaimed Profile)
Personal Injury lawyer at Kelaher Law Offices, P.A.
The hotel is not responsible for anything unless they were negligent, which is legally defined as either doing something a reasonable person would not do, or failing to do something a reasonable person would do. While many people believe if they are injured on the premises of someone else, the premises owner is responsible, that is not the law. Without further facts, I cannot give you any advice. Your brother may wish to consult with a good personal injury lawyer, since most attorneys do not charge for an initial consultation, so he would have nothing to lose. Please tell your brother to bear in mind that the statute of limitations for premises liability cases in Florida is four (4) years.

It is possible that you may have a product liability claim but I would have to have many more facts before I could form a firm opinion.
