What is the charge for giving police false information?

David F. Stoddard
Answered by attorney David F. Stoddard (Unclaimed Profile)
Personal Injury lawyer at The David F. Stoddard Law Firm
There are several possible charges that might apply. Obstruction of justice is one. I think the crime known as "providing false information to police" applies only to falsely reporting a crime, rather than giving false information to cover up a crime.

Yes. When the head of a household buys a car for a family member, the head of household can be liable for the family member's actions pursuant to a law known as the family purpose doctrine. However, your insurance will cover the damages up to the policy limits.
