This man works miracles. If you're looking for an honest, straight forward, professional attorney who does what he says, doesn't sugar coat the truth, calls you back personally and makes you genuinely feel like you're in the right hands; you need to spend the money to retain Michael. Michael came to see me to discuss my case personally less than 48 hours after he was called. He told me the honest truth about my situation and my case and he was 100% accurate. He and Cheryl updated me on my case every time there was a change and only involved me when it was absolutely necessary. He LISTENED to what I had to say and actually cared. Michael told me at our first meeting that he would do everything he could to make sure that in a few years, I would look back at this as just a tough year and he did EXACTLY that. ***He took me from facing a MINIMUM of 25 YEARS in PRISON to NO JAIL TIME!***
We had an uphill battle we couldn't compromise on, and needed a lawyer with maximum experience, network, skill, persistence, and availability. We researched dozens of local criminal defense lawyers, choosing the most promising to talk with in person. Mr. Griffith was high on the list with an extremely high peer rating and awards, and when making a consult appointment with him on the phone, he said "I hope you hire me." In person, he was personable and polite, not arrogantly or foolishly optimistic nor cynically defeatist. He was confident about his knowledge and if he didn't know something he'd find out without faking it. I was scared and needy; calling or visiting with questions, requests, or to verify court dates and times(recommended), and always got help ASAP. My case was ugly; child porn. Not guilty, but the accusation destroys lives and defense usually gives up or loses. We didn't. Of dozens of lawyers we researched and the ten we saw, I'm very glad we chose Mr Griffith.
Highly educated and was there to assist me when I need help fast. He showed that he cared about my situation and I greatly appreciated the great customer service of all those involved.
Lying, thieving, uses people fear against them. I had a public defender tell me I score out to 33.6 months(less than 3 years) I hire Mr. Griffith and he comes and tells me I score out to 15 years prison, told me I couldn't win at trial, but after I sign my deal tells me we had a good chance at beating the charge because I was drunk, charged me $12,000 for a felony and a misdemeanor, and then turns around and sends me another bill for $175.75 on the back end. Once you pay him loses incentive. In reality he's a deal lawyer not a trial lawyer. Bad Choice. Would have fired him if I knew I could of gotten my money back, but they get you there too.
Ive made no less then 10 calls in 3 days, told several times they would get back to me within the hour and nothing! Maybe my case isn't as important as an ambulance chasing case but i need a good lawyer a personal friend recommended him...well im not impressed, total waste of my time waiting on some kind of correspondence from this guy, i would recommend people look elsewhere for representation because this office and this attorney apparently couldn't care less! Dan Howard apparently im not worth their effort!
Hiring Mr Griffith was the worst decision I have ever made in my life. He played upon my fear, would call me in for appointments and repeat things we had previously covered in other meetings. I felt as if he were running the clock.. Every meeting he would explain to me how much more Money he needed in order to represent me. The end result is I fired him, hired another attorney, who took excellent care of me, with positive results, and did not take advantage of me. Don't hire him !
