Professional Experience:
Megan is a shareholder in the firm’s Pensacola office and is a member of the Commercial Litigation practice group. Megan’s litigation practice is in the areas of real estate litigation, business litigation and creditors’ rights. She represents national, regional and local financial institutions in all types of litigation matters including, but not limited to, commercial real estate defaults and mortgage enforcement litigation. Megan has particular experience with real estate mortgage enforcement actions in federal court. Her practice also focuses on commercial lease disputes, landlord-tenant actions, business dissolution and shareholder disputes.
Megan is a 2008 graduate of The University of Alabama School of Law where she was a recipient of the Fournier J. "Boots" Gale Scholarship, a member of the John A. Campbell Moot Court Board and earned the Dean’s Community Service Award. Prior to law school, Megan graduated cum laude from The University of Alabama in 2004 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance and was named Outstanding Undergraduate in Finance in 2003 and 2004.
Since 2012, Megan has been recognized as a "Rising Star" by Florida Super Lawyers magazine, a designation awarded to no more than 2.5% of the lawyers statewide. Natives of Birmingham, Alabama, Megan and her husband, Cayce, live in Pensacola.
