About Baleigh D. Motes

Baleigh Danielle Motes is an Associate in the firm's Pensacola office and practices in general civil litigation. Mrs. Motes graduated magna cum laude from the University of West Florida with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science, and a minor in International Relations. She then attended Florida State University College of Law and graduated with her Juris Doctor, and a certificate in International Law with honors.

During her time as a law student, Mrs. Motes received Book Awards for International Criminal Law: War Crimes, Genocide, Crimes Against Humanity, and Civil Externship Perspectives. She also tied for the highest grade with another student in International Dispute Resolution. She was a recipient of the Distinguished Pro Bono Service Award due to her advocacy work as an intern with the Florida State University Center for the Advancement of Human Rights. Mrs. Motes also interned with the Executive Director of the International Bar Association, Dr. Mark Ellis, in London, England. Further, Mrs. Motes was an active member of multiple student organizations while at FSU Law, including acting as Head Student Representative for BARBRI, Vice Justice of the Terrell Chapter of Phi Alpha Delta, and Board Member of the Raising the Bar Professionalism+ Program Student Advisory Board.

Mrs. Motes was also the August 2023 Student Spotlight for the Tallahassee Women Lawyer's Association and spoke as a panelist at their CLE 'Non-Human Laws: Animal Rights and Animal Welfare -- What's the Difference Between the Two?' where she collaborated with FSU Law Professor Patricia Matthews and Elephant Aid International Founder Carol Buckley to give a presentation on her publication on the Convention on Animal Protection.
