Education
Following graduation from Pensacola High School, Class of 1961, Mr. McGraw played professional baseball with the Cleveland Indians Organization for two seasons while attending the University of Southern Mississippi.
Upon earning his Bachelor’s degree from USM in 1965, he went on to Cumberland School of Law of Samford University earning a Juris Doctor in 1968.
While attending law shcool he coached the Samford University Baseball Team and was initiated into Phi Delta Phi, which is the oldest legal organization in continuous existence in the Country. Membership in Phi Delta Phi is a mark of honor and distinction similar to membership in Phi Beta Kappa in undergraduate colleges and universities, as academic achievement alone is not sufficient to give rise to an invitation to join; integrity, service, and excellence in all facets of human experience are considered factors for membership.
Experience
Mr. McGraw, born in Pensacola in 1943, was admitted to the Bar Associations of Florida and Alabama in 1968 and became a member of the U.S. District Court in Northern District of Florida in 1969. In 1970 he became a member of the 11th Circuit, US Court of Appeals.
Continuing his accreditation he joined the US District Court, Middle District of Florida in 2004, and joined the Florida Academy of Professional Mediators, Inc.
