Mitchell Cohen has exclusively devoted his practice to Matrimonial and Family law since his graduation from law school and admission to the Bar of the State of New York in 1986. Calm, cool and collected, Mitch prides himself in being an effective negotiator and a zealous advocate in court.
Each client comes to the office with a unique personality, set of facts and differing priorities and concerns. Right from the onset Mitch will take the time to not only educate himself about the client but to educate the client about the law in the State of New York. It is his firm belief that in order for any client to make informed decisions that he/she must know the various potential outcomes, and the strengths and weaknesses of all issues.
Together with his partner, Mitch and Marty have put together a law firm whose sole purpose is to provide the best results possible for their clients. The law firm takes a team approach to each case in order to most effectively represent each client and takes great pride in having cases referred to the firm by former clients, other attorneys, Judges court employees, and even by former spouses of the firm's clients.
As an active member of the Bar, Mitch recently served as Chair of the Westchester County Bar Association Family Law Section and has been extremely active in various local committees for the advancement of this area of law. Mitch is also active in the New York State Bar Association Family Law Section and serves as one of the Officers on the Executive Committee.
