Brett has practiced law with the firm since his graduation from law school in 1988. He has tried cases in various counties in Oklahoma and Texas. Brett and other members of the firm also tried two cases in Colorado, one of which resulted in a verdict for the firm's clients of $3,500,000. Brett's community involvement includes past or present service as a board member of the Pauls Valley Planning and Zoning Commission, Pauls Valley Public Schools, Pauls Valley Rotary Club, Main Street Pauls Valley, and the Pauls Valley Chamber of Commerce. Brett is also a member and director of the Oklahoma Association for Justice, which presented Brett with the Member of the Year Award in 2005.
