Jose will sell you a favor and charge you 50 dollars less an hour to hook you in. Jose has charged me $250.00 an hour for a 10 minute conversation and letters that had 3 sentences on it. Jose didn't even show up for my divorce and he never provided me with my receipts of the last half of work. Jose requested, I drop a restraining order with 2 violations against my x. This left my family harassed by my X. Jose will squeeze money out of you. Jose's ethics are of a sales person not a lawyer
Mr. Bastarrika served as my divorce attorney in a high income/ high net worth case and I am extremely disappointed in his work. My legal team was completely unprepared for every mediation session with no strategy, no preparation and no leadership on any topic. He was super friendly with the opposing counsel, but was shockingly aggressive when pushing me to agree with custody & financial terms that were not in my best interest nor in the best interests of my children. He used every opportunity to maximize billable hours which led to crippling legal bills while failing to provide timely & accurate billing statements. I recommend that anyone who needs legal counsel to avoid this law firm and find better counsel.
I was nervous and asked a bunch of questions and he answered and told me I can get u to stay longer l. He told me $3,000 and I will push out your appointment with border patrol for three months. Well he got me 10 days and once I paid him $3,000 he never kept me updated or spoke with me. I ended up moving back to my country because he could not give me a straight answer. I feel like he should have not charged 3k for only pushing my appointment by 10 days and then not responding to my emails. He took my money because of knowing the fear I had of being detained.
